Vinny Appice, Legendary Drummer of Black Sabbath and DIO, to Perform with Cincinnati Vampires at MVP Sports Bar

Cincinnati, OH – Get ready for a night of electrifying rock as Vinny Appice, the legendary drummer of Black Sabbath and DIO, takes the stage with the Cincinnati Vampires. This exclusive, one-off performance will happen on November 2, 2024, at MVP Sports Bar, marking a monumental collaboration between local rockers and a heavy metal icon.

The Cincinnati Vampires, led by Dr. OMEB (Michael Carr, a local musician and professor at Thomas More University), will deliver a 90-minute set with Appice that fans won’t want to miss. Known for his drumming on iconic tracks like "Holy Diver" and "Rainbow in the Dark," Vinny Appice's appearance brings an unprecedented level of rock royalty to the Cincinnati music scene.

Supporting acts Jimmy Kelley, Black Bone Cat, and Counting Stars will warm up the stage, making this a night packed with powerful performances from start to finish.

Dr. OMEB (Michael Carr) is a marketing professor at Thomas More University and the leader of the Cincinnati Vampires, a group of local musicians with a passion for hard rock and metal. The Cincy Vamps features Dr. OMEB (vocals, lead guitar), Joey Vasselet (vocals), Chris Walz (guitar), Jim Questa (keyboards), Kathy Laverde (bass). The Vampires’ explosive performances pay homage to the legends of rock while delivering their own unique sound to fans across the region.
