HOW IT STARTED:
The One Man Electrical Band, you can say is a true One Man Band. He really does it all! Mike Carr, formerly of Black Roses, decided in 2004 to venture on his own and explore solo music after two failed attempts with his band, Black Roses. The One Man Electrical Band was really an accident that was only meant to cover a few shows in between drummers. But after one or two shows he realized this was the way to go. He could provide the same entertainment as a band, BY HIMSELF! Without the hassle!!
O.M.E.B. is designed to bring a hard rock act to a club who is looking for cost efficient live entertainment and or does not have the space for a full band. Mike, who teaches music in a private school, has taken the solo act to the next level.
How he accomplishes this is by recording live instruments into a laptop. After recording and sequencing drums, bass, piano, backup vocals and even strings; he mixes the music through his P.A., minus his guitar parts and vocals. Using this method, there are no restrictions as to what he can play. You can hear your favorite GNR, Ozzy, Metallica, Pink Floyd, System of a Down, Led Zeppelin and much more. He is your roaming party!!
Mike is also committed to bring you the music no one else playing. Yes, you won't hear "Mustang Sally"! A plus for any bar owner!
*******Now the show has been taken to the next level!!!**********
Mike has recently added a complete light show. Enlisting the help of former Black Roses guitarist
Chris Walz to operate the system. The effect and impact of this new feature
has definitely added to the intensity of the show!
